Polar Hardware Trailer Door Latch - PLR258-002

Steel cam-action door latch is ideal for large trailers and similar applications. Can be installed flush on doors with a 3/4" offset. Positive double-action handle protects against in-transit jarring. 3/4" Pipe not included.

- Cam-action door latch is ideal for side or rear doors on large trailers
- Bridge-type hasp helps prevent accidental opening and ensures safe latching action
- Can be locked with padlock (sold separately)
- Narrow, wraparound keepers are ideal for rear door or side door applications
- Double-action handle assembly ensures simple, secure latching and helps protect against in-transit jarring
- Flip the handle keeper on the hasp latch up and lift the handle to release
- Rotate the handle to either release or engage the cams
- Zinc-plated steel construction provides durability and corrosion resistance
- Black vinyl grip on handle makes it comfortable to use

Note: Schedule 40 3/4" plumbers pipe needs to be welded to the cam ends as well as the handle for complete installation.

I bought this set to replace the worn and bent latches on my recycling truck. The package arrived quickly and contained everything as ordered. I was actually pleasantly surprised that this set is much heavier duty than I was expecting, and much better quality than the set I originally built the truck with (sourced locally). This is a very nice quality set that will last years longer than my existing door latches. Thanks eTrailer!

I’m very pleased with the product. The latch looks like it will serve us well. I was a little apprehensive weather it would work on a livestock trailer. I believe it will work just fine. Thank you e-trailer.

Exactly what I was looking for and very well built. Looks strong. Using it on the back of a dump trailer that has a broken latch on two swing open doors. Manufacturer wanted $2100 for two new doors because the latch broke.

- 2007 Collin Arndt Replacement Latch Kit Recommendation for DoorWhile we don't have that style of door latch kit, I do have a solution for you with the Cam-Action Lockable Door Latch Kit # PLR258-002 which comes with everything but the bar which is looks like you already have. I haven't seen that type of latch before so you may have trouble finding the top keeper which is why I referenced the kit above.

This will give you the mounts, handle, and catches for your trailer but you will need to source the 3/4" steel pipe and hardware needed locally and have the handle and cams welded to the pipe. The # PLR658-002 is more for heavy duty applications and comes with bushings for the pipe to mount in. This requires a 1-5/16 inch diameter pipe and the other requires 3/4 inch diameter.
